I’ve been madly reading over the last few months, because I was selected as a judge for the Self-Published Science Fiction Competition – the SPSFC!
It’s incredibly exciting to get my hands on some truly amazing scifi, and I’ve had the honour to read so many stunning books, taking me on fabulous adventures.
My fellow judges and I had to cover over 300 books to choose semi-finalists (now chosen, more on that shortly!), and I am part of Team 6: GSV Galactic Beards.
First, we cut the 25 books in our Team Slush Pile down to 10, then presented our Top 3 as Semi Finalists. Our Top 3 have now been released to the other Judges Teams – we’re reading theirs, they’re reading ours – to whittle them down to Finalists.
Before I get into some reviews, the Semi-Finalists have been chosen!
Exciting stuff!
I’m deep into reading these (and they’re amazing!) and I’ve actually reviewed one as part of a Blog Tour – Rory August’s Last Gifts of the Universe. You can check out that review here.
